BANTEN PSYCHOSOCIAL CAPACITY

BUILDING FOR KIDS

in mid-2019, KBBI again carried out similar activities. This time we have an activity in Paniis Village, Pandeglang, Banten. On December 22nd, 2018 a tsunami struck the Sunda Strait which affected the coastline of Banten and Lampung Provinces. The worst damage and the number of casualties were concentrated in the southern region area along Anyer to Tanjung Lesung which was recently inaugurated as a Special Economic Zone (KEK). In this activity, I was given the responsibility of being a field commander in charge of organizing activities covering technical matters and programs. In line with the relocation plan, this activity also allows the community to adapt to their new shelter. Even if these activities must be carried out in refugee areas, increasing enthusiasm can help create a more conducive life atmosphere. For 3 weeks, we did various kinds of activities. To increase cooperation between the children there, we collaborated with the Paniis Village children by compiling a musical theater program. Armed with existing local resources, we transform the surrounding objects into props and costumes. Not only theater, several KBBI teams also conduct TTT (Train The Trainers) program aimed at school teachers at SDN Taman Jaya 2. They will be provided with knowledge and participate in training for program implementation. This aims to maintain the therapeutic use of art in the targeted community. Watch a summary of our activities through a documentary video entitled 'Lestari Bestari' or click the following link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJWYkiWX3Yo&t=1s
