AUN-ACTS EXCHANGE
Thailand is a country recognized for its long and rich history of cultural art. Becoming a participant of the program will allow me to humbly learn the historical development of Thai art along with how it has evolved and adjusted itself with modernity. As an example, if Indonesia’s pre-modern era was greatly influenced by Islamic art, Thailand, on the other hand, boasts artworks heavily shaped by Buddhist influences. Furthermore, Thailand possesses an incredible array of high-quality education in fine art, marked by a large number of graduates from art universities who have grown to become well-known artists. As in Indonesia, themes of identity, economic disparity, political contestation, and also religious differences are also widely used by artists from Thailand.
